a reception Saturday.evening.in.Cheshire
Township.Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Goodwin
will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married Feb.
2, 1900, in Ganges, by the Rev. Robert Linn, the grendfather of of Mr.
Goodwin. After living there 14 years, they came to Cheshire township where
they reside on a farm since that time. At Saturday night's resception
a mock wedding ceremony will be performed by Frank Lickley.
During their residence
here Mr. Goodwin served 12 years as a justice of the peace. He avers that
the secret of a happy marriage is to let the wife be the boss.
He is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. John Goodwin and she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Barnett.
both are in good health.
They have one daughter,
Mrs. Florence Zue, Allegan. |
