Mauch Chunk was the previous name for Jim Thorpe See: History VISITOR: . . . . . . dots on map show path Vern & wife Letha traveled, E to W, on October 11, 2000 They traveled from Bowmanstown into Lehighton at lunch time. After a quick drive down main street they stopped at the Donut Shop at intersection by Hwy. 443 and had great Soup & Sandwich and of course Donuts for the road.
