    Sheckler Family of Fallon Nevada
    Daniel Sheckler, William "Will" Sheckler , and Benjamin Arthur Sheckler, sons of John Sheckler, all setteled in Nevada. Daniel was born in Iowa Falls, Iowa; the other two were born Kansas. 

    In 1920 Dan sold his ranch in the South West Lahontan Valley, to Thomas Williamson. the area was named SHECKLER DISTRICT in honor of Dan. Daniel died 14 Mar 1930 in Banning Calif.
    Will Sheckler died 30 Aug 1960, Solano California.
    Benjamin was called "BEN SHECKLER....the boot and shoe man - one door south of FALLON REALTY CO.s; office, will repair your leather footwear and make it as good as new...all work guaranteed. opposite FALLON HARDWARE AND SUPPLY COMPANY"
    Ben died 14 Jan 1958 in Washington Co. Kansas

     Vern Bouwman remembered seeing a street sign named "SHECKLER" on his trips
    through Fallon.  He e:mailed the city museum and Bunny sent him this information.
