Built 1939 as "Panama" for Panama Lines
Passengers: 216 1st Class and cargo
sold 1957 and renamed President Hoover.
Scrapped in 1985

In August they sailed from the Port of San Francisco on SS President Hoover, and arrived at the Port of Yokohama, Japan, on 23 August 1957.

Two times they crossed the Pacific from San Francisco to Yokohama on:
SS President Hoover and SS President Cleveland (2)

Twin Screw, Turbo Electric Drive.

Sold in 1974 and renamed
ORIENTAL PRESIDENT
Scrapped at Kaohiung, Taiwan
